Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of CoursePlanner.ai (“CoursePlanner”), a product of DeGenito Innovations. By using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Who can use CoursePlanner

You must be 18 or older, or enrolled in a postsecondary institution, and able to form a binding agreement. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password safe.

2. Your content & ownership

You own the content you create (your plan, notes, deadlines, etc.). You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the service for you — for example, to store and sync your data if you enable cloud sync. You can export or delete your data at any time.

3. Acceptable use

4. The tutor marketplace

CoursePlanner lets students and tutors find each other. We are a venue, not a party to any tutoring arrangement. We do not employ tutors, verify credentials, or guarantee outcomes. You are responsible for your interactions; use good judgment and meet safely. Payment and booking features, where offered, are subject to their own terms.

5. Payments

Some features require a paid subscription (Premium). Prices are shown before purchase; subscriptions renew until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

6. Informational only — no professional advice

CoursePlanner provides educational tools and information, including AI (Athena), financial-aid summaries, study guidance, and wellness content. These are not professional academic-advising, legal, financial, or medical/mental-health advice, and are not a substitute for your school’s advisors or licensed professionals. Always verify deadlines and requirements with official sources. In a mental-health emergency, call or text 988, or call 911.

7. Service “as is”; limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeGenito Innovations is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on information in the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

8. Changes & termination

We may update the service and these Terms; material changes will update the date above. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using the service and delete your data at any time.

9. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? hello@courseplanner.ai.
